We host a number of events each year to encourage thinking, reflection and conversations around the complexities of poverty and how our responses to poverty and injustice might be shaped by the gospel. We'd love to have your company at any of them. All Amos events are free and we don't do sneaky fundraising asks at them.

NEWS & EVENTS
We also love doing incursions with schools, youth groups or church groups, and have a suite of fun and engaging simulation games that are helpful catalysts for conversations about poverty and injustice. If you're interested, we'll work with you around a theme or topic that's relevant and appropriate. We're currently only able to offer the incursions in and around Perth and the South-West of WA - but we're happy to share resources with you if your group is elsewhere.
If you'd like to chat more about this with us, get in touch here.

Mission
in the
Margins
We spent three days in October 2025 exploring the intersection between the gospel and life in the suburbs of Perth. It was a packed weekend of discussions, simulation games and visiting organisations and communities supporting the marginalised in our city and living out the gospel in refreshing, creative ways. Always encouraging, always though-provoking. And always good food and good fellowship.
Amos Conference
We were generously hosted by the lovely folk at Mount Pleasant Uniting Church over a Friday evening and Saturday morning in early August. It was a very encouraging time of sharing stories and ideas on topics like creative housing options in a housing crisis, reflections on good development, community-led refugee settlement and the importance of 'resting in the back of the boat', Jesus-style. There was good food and good conversation with good people - as someone said, 'This was like finding water in the desert.'
Let us know if you'd like to join the next one!

International Update
__________________________
We spent a cozy evening in April generously hosted by The Billabong. We heard stories from the international program and between stories we reflected on the intersection between faith and poverty through the sharing of Scripture, prayers and song.
Newsletter
We send out 2-3 newsletters per year highlighting some of the work we've been doing in both our Australian and International programs. It's also how we send out details for our upcoming events. You can find some of our past newsletters here, and you're welcome to join our email list below.
